Dynamic Publishing
Dynamic publishing: automated page design with creative freedom
Dynamic publishing, also known as print publishing or database publishing, is the automated creation of your catalogues, leaflets, brochures, price lists and other materials. As Europe’s leading media and IT specialist in this field, we not only implement the software, but also work with you to establish effective product information extraction processes for the partially or fully automated creation of extensive and frequently updated materials.
We rely on tools that we know from experience – Adobe InDesign and priint:suite by WERK II.
- Inventory analysis: we offer comprehensive guidance. Analysing your entire process will help us to provide you with tailored, goal-oriented support.
- IT implementation:our IT specialists will optimise your systems for dynamic publishing, providing you with a highly functional environment for automated, transparent production.
- Workflow optimisation:dynamic publishing goes far beyond IT systems requirements. That’s why we will help you to establish and improve workflows and processes within your company and make them accessible to everyone involved.
- Automation vs. creation:whether partial automation with great creative freedom, highly automated CI-compliant templates, or marketing automation through to 1:1 communication (see also Programmatic Printing), your scenario will determine our approach.

A selection of our success stories
What our customers say about us
What was exciting for us – in addition to the transfer of knowledge between the Laudert and BLANCO interfaces – was definitely how closely the channel managers worked with the technical units at Laudert, meaning they were able to intervene early on in the event of obstacles, especially when setting up new processes.
Programmatic Printing:
Print as a Data-Driven, Automated Channel
Programmatic Printing is the perfect complement to Dynamic Publishing if you want to go beyond automated media creation and use print as a controllable, data-driven channel in your customer journey. Based on your customer data, hyper-personalized, customized print products (e.g., mailings, brochures, catalogs, or magazines) are created in real time, even down to a print run of just one copy. Content such as text, images, and graphics is automatically compiled by personalization software and then produced using variable data printing (VDP). This allows you to reach customers on a personal and emotional level—and measure the impact through KPIs such as conversion rate or ROI.
Dynamic publishing way beyond the technical – from start to finish
Multiple award-winning priint:suite partner of the year, dozens of successful projects, years of experience, we will bring our expertise and competence in creation, media production, IT and printing to your project – eliminating frictional losses. We’ll work with you to develop automation-friendly assets and design the print collateral of tomorrow, all based on your current data, in real time. And that’s not all. After production, our media experts will stay by your side and guide you through the entire finishing process.

FAQ about Dynamic Publishing
What is Dynamic Publishing – and what isn’t?
Dynamic publishing is the automated creation of catalogs, price lists, brochures, and other media based on structured product data from PIM, DAM, or ERP systems. Content is fed directly into predefined templates – without any manual transfer. Dynamic publishing isn’t just a tool you install; it’s a process that involves strategy, system integration, and workflow design.
What types of publications can be automated using this tool?
Typical applications include product catalogs, price lists, technical data sheets, flyers, brochures, point-of-sale materials, and labels. As a general rule, the more variants, languages, or update cycles a publication has, the greater the benefit of automation.
What data sources are needed?
The foundation is a structured, well-maintained data source – typically a PIM system, supplemented by a DAM for images and assets. It is not the system itself that matters, but rather the data quality: Complete and consistent product data are essential for seamless automation.
When is dynamic publishing worth it?
Dynamic publishing is worth it if you manage many product variants, publish content in multiple languages, update content frequently, or regularly produce extensive publications. Even with moderate complexity – for example, a multilingual catalog with several hundred products – the investment usually pays for itself quickly.
What preparatory work is required?
The most important preparatory step is ensuring data quality: product information must be complete, consistently structured, and up-to-date. You’ll also need clearly defined responsibilities and templates that can be automated and are CI-compliant. We’ll guide you through the process – from data strategy to template design.
What does a typical project look like?
It starts with an assessment of the current situation: What systems, data, and processes are in place? Based on this, we define the level of automation, templates, and technical infrastructure. After implementation and a testing phase, the system goes live—accompanied by workflow training and ongoing optimization.
Can you start small and scale up?
Yes – and that’s what we usually recommend. A pilot project with a clearly defined scope reduces risk and creates a solid foundation. Templates, system integrations, and workflows are designed from the start to grow with your needs.
What systems and tools do you typically integrate?
We work with Adobe InDesign and WERK II’s priint:suite. On the data side, we integrate PIM systems, DAM systems, and ERP integrations. As a multi-award-winning partner of priint:suite, we bring extensive project experience to the table.
How long does a dynamic publishing project take?
A pilot project – such as a price list or a partial catalog – can be implemented in just a few weeks. A full setup, including system integration, template development, and workflow implementation, typically takes three to six months. You’ll receive a realistic estimate after the initial assessment.
